Jasper Goodall has a forthcoming show at The Electric Blue Gallery in London. The exhibition features new erotic artwork exploring Jaspers preoccupation with the themes of sexual fetish and the erotic art world. “Sexual proclivities and artwork seem to follow certain themes, these themes are repeated so often they become clichés, I find this fascinating…. I am intrigued by notions in sex and fetish that result in cliched roleplay; the naughty nurse, the naughty nun, the kinky policewoman, the pink frilly shepherdess. All share a similar themes: either innocence corrupted, mothering turned sexual, or authority and power bent or discarded in sexual passion’.

To accompany the release of the debut album by White Lies we have also designed a limited edition booklet taking a look behind the scenes at the band’s recording sessions in Brussels last year. The 24pp pamphlet includes essays by Charles Cave, Harry McVeigh and Jack Brown, each exploring the album’s creation as well as notes and musings by the band’s producers Ed Buller, Max Dingle and Alan Moulder. The booklet is limited to a run of 500 copies and only available though the band’s website.

Sanna Annukka’s first collection for Marimekko will arrive in shops in February. Her theme is Finland’s national literary epic The Kalevala – and the graphics explore the enchanted imagery and magic symbolism of the text. The collection includes fabrics, a whole array of homeware products and accessories including handbags, cosmetic bags and purses. Marimekko recently invited journalists to an open day where they turned their entire mill into a fairy tale environment by using Sanna’s fabrics to reflect the nature of the collection. Here are some snaps from the day.
