Geneviève Gauckler is one of three artists asked to create an inaugural collection for new jewellery label Le Buisson. Recently launched at Parisian boutique Colette, Geneviève’s contribution comprises eight necklace pendants using white and yellow gold, diamonds and rubies. Followers of her work will recognise that the pendants take a three-dimensional form of the characters for which Geneviève is best known.

Big Active artist Jim Stoten and Brooklyn-based artist Mike Perry were invited to paint a mural in the Human Empire shop in Hamburg. Given free reign except for a show title of Eat Me, Jim and Mike emptied the shop and painted straight onto the walls. As Jim reported, The theme of the whole thing, in the tees we did for it and the zine and the prints, was food. So we painted a restaurant scene on all three walls of the shop. It took us 4 days, about 19 hours a day, and it was absolutely brilliant. Eating burgers, drinking beer and painting things.

Parra has been selected by Complex Magazine as one of their top 25 artists of 2010. Alongside artists like Ryan McGinley, ROA and JR, Complex commended Parra’s exhibition at Arkitip’s Project Space in L.A. The article also puts forward his Nike x Parra x Patta Air Max 1 trainer as the best artist collaboration footwear of the year, a belief also held by Sneaker News who described the collaboration as one of the most ravenously sought-after releases in recent memory.
