As part of Somerset House’s Pick Me Up Graphic Art Fair, Siggi Eggertsson, Jesse Auersalo and Letman have each been asked to produce a limited edition print. The artworks will be available for the duration of the event which runs from 23rd April until 3rd May.

Here’s a remarkable new piece of work by Jesse Auersalo for Playboy Magazine. The original draft was purely monochrome, but when Hugh Hefner himself took the trouble to request the addition of colour, Jesse was more than happy to oblige.

I’ve known Jesse Pietilä since we were at the University of Art & Design Helsinki together. He’s a gifted spacial designer so this was a perfect way of us finally getting to work on something together. We set out to playfully explore the roll of a poster and the surface it is designed to appear on.

Just got back from Berlin after the Illustrative ‘09 opening, a real honor to be there alongside artists like Keiichi Tanaami & Erik Sandberg. The exhibition looked really great in the beautiful venue, Villa Elisabeth, a century old building that was originally constructed as an office for the church next door.
