Jasper Goodall for Johnnie Walker
Johnnie Walker have launched the Jasper Goodall Limited Edition of their famous Black Label whisky. Limited to 1000 hand-signed bottles, the project saw Jasper create his own version of the whisky’s Striding Man logo. On reinterpreting the iconic figure, in use since 1908, Jasper said I knew almost straight away what I wanted to do. I recalled, during a visit to a whisky distillery years ago, the guide telling me how slowly, over time, a small amount of whisky evaporates and escapes the barrel, this is known as the ‘angels’ share’ and I felt that rendering the striding man in ’smoke’ would be the perfect expression of this concept.

Jasper Goodall for PlayStation 3
Jasper Goodall has been invited to create an interactive illustration for Sony’s PS3 platform. As Jasper explains, I had been meaning to create a piece of moving illustration for some time and the PS3 platform provided the ideal space to try this out. Although I was aware that the guys at Studio Output would have to work in PS3 coding language, I wanted to provide them with an animation to demonstrate how my theme should move, which they then had to dismantle and reconstruct in the PS3 code.
Jasper devised the dynamic theme as part of a new feature for PlayStation 3 called The Studio, where users can purchase themes from a range of graphic artists and illustrators. PS3 users can view and purchase the themes from within the console’s PlayStation Store.

Jasper Goodall New Goulston Street
Painting London’s New Goulston Street’s shutters with animals that could have lived in the area during the last ice age, Jasper Goodall’s contribution to this epic project, conceived and curated by Jessica Tibbles of Electric Blue Gallery, seeks to remind us that long before the city, there was a different kind of wilderness, populated by Wolves, Hyenas and Mammoths where Humankind was the minority species.
This project sees the gallery space extended beyond its traditional white walls and out onto the blank corrugated canvas of eleven surrounding streets. Artists including Jasper Goodall, Ben Eine, Zevs, and D*Face, are painting the East End shop shutters so that, when they close for the day, the streets surrounding Petticoat Lane market are transformed into a free contemporary art gallery. Over a year in planning, by completion it will be one of the biggest permanent public installations in the world.
“FACES”, a show by the Artists featured in the project, opens on Thursday 16th September.
