Opening Tuesday, May 19th, Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan presents “The Disco of Italo”, Parra’s first solo exhibition in Italy. The show will comprise of a new body of work including a site-specific installation, paintings, drawings and print editions.

Parra must be the one of the hardest working artists on the planet. He’s currently touring with his band LeLe but has found time to produce a whole new set of work for HVW8 Art & Design Gallery in LA. “Is That A Gun My Friend?” show opens on Saturday 4th April and runs until May 9th.

Parra’s band LeLe plays a showcase this Wednesday 18th at the annual South by South West music conference in Austin, Texas. We’ll post more on this after the show.

Here’s a sneak preview of a recent collaboration between Parra and Vans on a 3 piece sneaker pack consisting of the Chukka, the Era and the Sk8 Hi. All three feature trademark Parra colors and graphics and will be available in Summer ‘09. We’ll post more information as soon as they’re officially available.

Parra has created a series of custom designs for Arkitip’s MacBook and iPhone protective cases. If you’re interested in ordering one of these must have accessories you can do so directly from Arktip. They’ve also posted a mini video diary by Parra where he talks about the inspiration behind the designs.
