Emi Ueoka is a Japanese illustrator who graduated from Central Saint Martins, London. Her gentle work captures feelings within limited lines, moments that are personal and understated. A natural style defined by simplicity and honesty. She is best known for her drawings of girls and flowers observed in everyday life.
Working primarily in pencil, Emi has created works for clients including The Museum Of Modern Art Tokyo, The New Yorker, The Plant, and Cow Books. She has published zines with Nieves Books, and has had solo exhibitions within Japan and Australia.
Emi currently resides in Melbourne, Australia with her husband and son.
